When Myra began adding horror and zombie books to her line of best-selling romances, we needed to create a new brand, website and overall identity that would blend these two opposing genres into one cohesive message.
I chose WordPress for Myra’s web presence for its flexibility and user-friendly blogging options. The website was designed to seamlessly blend Myra’s lighter romance works with her darker horror stories into one central hub for her readers.
The concept was to create a website that would appeal to Myra’s new horror fans but also still help her long-time romance readers to feel right at home. The end result was a website that was divided into two main sections: romance and horror, each distinct enough to stand alone, but integrated enough into the overall design to create a cohesive feel throughout.
I also incorporated Myra’s Horror blog (formally on Blogger) into her new website, allowing her to focus on one platform rather than jumping back and forth between her website and her Blogger account. This simple change will allow Myra, and her readers, to find everything they need, all in one place.
“Dawn Seewer created my new website and did an amazing job. I wanted to combine my romance & horror writing under one umbrella on a website. Dawn and I put our heads together and she came up with a way to do it that I am very impressed with. She took my wish and made it reality in a way that makes sense and is visually pleasing.
I haven’t seen another website with the same set up. Nothing is more opposite than romance and horror, but Dawn managed to merge them yet keep them separate. I highly recommend her as someone to work with if you need a website built.” –Myra Nour, Award-Winning, Best-Selling Author
